You can't put a phone holder on your windscreen!
glass filmConditional on the location of the and seals.!!!
When you look at a car from behind, there are cars with clear, transparent rear glass and others with black, smoked glass or cars that you can't see inside at all, like security companies. Some may wonder if this is safe, but as far as the back is concerned, it is.
The film requirements are itemised below.
- Windscreen, driver and front passenger side glass: transmission must be at least 70% and not coloured.
- Rear, rear side: 0% or 100% transmittance, whatever.
- Front upper 20% or lower 150 mm: vehicle inspection stickers, drarecorders, room mirrors, etc.
This is why front and front windows are fine as long as the transmittance is kept above 70%. In the past, there was no problem if a black film was applied to both the front and sides, called full smoke. However, the Road Traffic Act was amended in the middle of the year, and the front side glass must also be visible.
No phone holders on the windscreen?
Items that may be affixed to the windscreen include.
- rear-view mirror
- Vehicle inspection stickers
- Fault sticker
- Antennas (for public airwaves such as television and radio)
- drive recorder
This means that stickers with original or any character or logo are prohibited. The location of the sticker is also determined, and it must be 'within 20% of the upper edge of the windscreen'. To be honest, I don't think the police officers look that hard, but when it comes to films, the traffic riot police keep a close eye on them. If a shop puts up a film on the side glass, if it does not meet the 70% transmittance requirement, the shop will also be caught. We often see weekend runners with dark film on the sides of their cars, which we assume is a DIY job. These people know they will be caught, so they roll down their windows in front of the police. Even so, motorcycle policemen and others with keen instincts will chase after them and measure the transparency. This is as strictly enforced as speeding, so be careful.
