Frequently asked questions and answers

  1. Can I return to stock after bubbling or ECU tuning?
    • You can put it back in. When rewriting a computer, the engine will not start if only the areas causing bubbling are rewritten. In order to rewrite a part of the data, it is necessary to balance the entire data area, and it is impossible to fundamentally rewrite the data without the original data. For this reason, we only work with a backup or with the original and pre-construction data. Your data is stored in the cloud and can be recalled at any time. However, if the ECU has already been tuned, it may not be possible to return to the original data unless you inform us in advance.
  2. I already have an ECU tuned by another company, can I leave it and only add bubbling?
    • Depends on vehicle and tuning data. Firstly, please ask the shop that carried out the bubbling to see if there is a bubbling option available. If the shop refuses to offer it, we will help you to the extent that we can. In the case of our installation, we will first extract the data from the current vehicle, but in many cases the data cannot be extracted from the OBD, and the ECU may need to be removed and installed. If the ECU is not only removed but also has to be dismantled and the base stripped to extract the data, the price will increase significantly and it may be cheaper to have our ECU tuning carried out as well.
  3. Is the vehicle safe for inspection or dealer entry?
    • If there is a volume measurement and the specification is for constant bubbling, the vehicle may not pass inspection. However, in most cases the volume is not measured. Even if this is the case, some vehicles can be specified so that the sound is only emitted when the accelerator pedal is slightly (3 mm) left in the accelerator pedal and not when the accelerator pedal is normally released. If the vehicle is compatible with the Powergate3 remote tool or the IXI Flasher, the customer can return it to stock before the vehicle is inspected.ECU tuning and bubbling can damage the catalyst and cause it to deteriorate faster, especially on overdrive vehicles, which can result in an exhaust gas test at vehicle inspection. Please be careful not to overdo it.
  4. What are the advantages and disadvantages of bubbling?
    • The following is an explanation of what is said only in general terms. An engine (1) blows fuel in the piston, (2) covers it with a valve, (3) ignites it and makes it explode, and (4) opens the valve to let out exhaust gases. Bubbling involves (1) blowing fuel, (2) covering with a valve, (4) opening a valve to release unburnt gases and (3) ignition. In other words, the ignition that occurs inside the piston is done outside, which makes that intense sound.
    • [Advantages of bubbling] Not burning fuel means that the fuel is relatively dense. It is said to be engine-friendly as it absorbs heat from the engine.
    • [Disadvantages of bubbling] Dense fuel mixes with the engine oil. This makes the engine oil less concentrated, which reduces lubrication with the piston rings and increases frictional forces. This can damage the piston walls.
  5. Are there any other disadvantages or countermeasures?
    • In order to hear the bubbling, the RPMs tend to be higher, even down the road. This makes it easier for the oil temperature to rise and, in addition, further reduces lubrication for the reasons given in A3-3. Therefore, using a slightly harder engine oil may be preventive. It is also recommended to change the front catalyst to a metal sport catalytic converter or straight catalytic converter, as the stock catalytic converter is easily damaged.
  6. Will fuel consumption decrease?
    • Bubbling construction is not directly responsible for the reduction in fuel consumption. In principle, it is not. The same applies to ECU tuning, as long as the vehicle is running normally. Although it is a by-product of the ECU tuning, we have received feedback that fuel consumption has been improved by increasing power efficiently. The results of this vary from vehicle to vehicle, but as long as you don't overdo it, it won't get any worse. Even if you often drive on the motorway at full throttle, I think the image is about 10% as a fall.
  7. Is there a guarantee?
    • No. No guarantee can be given as to the cost of repairs in the event of a breakdown. The same applies to towing costs. There are no campaigns such as "free re-application within 100 days" or "free up to 100 times". It is possible for you to make an appointment to come in, have bubbling applied, test drive the car and try out the sound level. After the final decision has been made, a re-installation fee will be charged for specification changes due to the customer's circumstances, except in the case of symptoms that cause significant problems with driving at a later date.
    • Of course, we have included data that we have created in an effort to avoid breakage, and we also inform you that we do not recommend exceeding a certain level of bubbling volume at the time of installation, as this increases the risk of exhaust system damage, especially if the bubbling volume is increased. However, the premise is that tuning is synonymous with doing something out of the ordinary to the car. Please bear this in mind.
  8. Where do you use the data?
    • We can adjust the bubbling in real time, and many people ask us to carry it out because they really enjoy it. Please take a look at our blog.
  9. Where is the shop located? Can you do it at a distance?
    • We have an office in Tokyo, but we do not have a shop. If you are far away, you can either send the ECU itself by post,Remote toolsIn some cases, the installation can be carried out remotely by ECU, so please contact us for more information. If the ECU is sent by ECU post, it will be returned to you in as little as the same day to three days.
  10. How do you accept payment? Do you accept credit card payments and installments? Do you provide receipts?
    • (For face-to-face meetings) Basically, payment is made locally in cash. Card payments can be made byprice listprice + 5% fee on top of that. We also only accept payment in instalments by card, but we charge a fee for this as well. If you need a receipt, please let us know in advance so that we can prepare one.
    • (For distant locations) Both bank transfers and card payments are accepted, price listWe offer a flat rate for the street price. If you pay by card, we also accept payment in instalments, but please note at the time of payment that a fee is charged for each number of payments, as well as a general fee. If you need a receipt, please let us know in advance so that we can prepare one.
