2023 CLA45s AMG Successful ECU tuning (stage 3) with special ECU unlocking & current vehicle settings

We have installed an ECU tuning for a 2023 CLA45s AMG. In fact, this setting is special in two respects, which we would like to introduce to you.

Unlocking issues for ECUs manufactured after 2020.

ECUs manufactured by Bosch after July 2020 are subject to a special lock, which means that the ECU data cannot be read or written. This is true not only for Mercedes Benz, but also for Bosch-using BMW, Audi, Volkwagen, Urus, etc., and each manufacturer has its own way of dealing with this. In the case of Mercedes Benz, the 45s AMG series with 2L turbo (M139) and 53AMG with 3L turbo (M256) in petrol cars, and the 2.9L turbo (OM656) and 1.95L turbo (OM654) in diesel cars fall under this category.

There is only one manufacturer that can unlock the ECU of a Mercedes Benz and we can mail the entire ECU to them so that they can rewrite it. Only a very limited number of tuners are able to receive this unlocking service, and as we fall into this category, tuning is possible. Depending on the airfreight situation, it can take as little as one week round trip, including the unlocking process.

Current vehicle settings (stage 3) with external turbine installed.

This time, this owner has an external big turbine installed, so it is necessary to log the current vehicle data in stage 3 tuning. The data to be taken includes "engine torque, ignition timing, air-fuel ratio, throttle valve position, RPM and intake air temperature". As when the car is on the chassis dynamometer, the gears are fixed to 4th gear, etc., and the accelerator is fully open.
