Lamborghini Revuelto Dragon Afterfire: The Biggest Flames We’ve Ever Put on a V12 — Standing Rev and Night Overrun on Video

We have been chasing this since June. Unlocking the first Revuelto gave the hybrid V12 a voice. The four-map switch gave the driver control of it. Map 4 ‘Flames’ made it violent. This car is where all of that lands: the Dragon Afterfire calibration on a red Revuelto, and the biggest fire we have ever put on a Lamborghini.
Watch the first ten seconds. Neutral, standing still, a blip of throttle — and the flame goes to the ceiling.
Standing Still: Where the Revuelto Fights You Hardest

A standing rev is the shot everyone asks for, and on the Revuelto it is the one thing the car does not want to give you. At a standstill the hybrid system is managing the V12 as tightly as it ever does — the factory logic is built to keep the engine quiet, clean and out of the way. Getting a long, repeatable flame in exactly that state is where most of the development time on Dragon Afterfire went. On this car it fires every time, on the first blip, hot or cold.
Rolling, the same calibration does what you’d expect: lift off anywhere above the mid-range and the overrun turns into two bars of fire that follow the car down the road. The second clip is the standing rev filmed from behind, at night.
Why This Is the Hardest V12 to Make Breathe Fire
Pops and bangs on a Huracán or an Aventador are a known quantity for us — hundreds of cars. The Revuelto is a different animal. The 6.5-litre V12 sits inside a plug-in hybrid architecture that decides, moment to moment, how much the engine is even allowed to do. On the overrun the factory calibration shuts it down completely: no pop, no crackle, nothing. The afterfire has to be written around that logic rather than against it, which is why no one had a Revuelto breathing fire before our June unlock, and why Dragon Afterfire has taken three iterations to reach this.
What you see in the videos is the current state of that work: longer flame on the overrun than the August calibration, a standing rev that behaves, and no drivability trade-off in Normal mode. Cars we calibrated in June or August can be brought up to this version.
The Exhaust on This Car

This Revuelto runs a jobdesign exhaust system — a full replacement, heat-shielded all the way through the catalysts, tuned for high-rpm flow and a higher note. To be clear about cause and effect: the flame is the calibration’s. The exhaust is why the voice is this loud and why the fire reads bigger on camera. The same Dragon Afterfire on a factory exhaust still throws flame; the car simply speaks a little more politely.
What Dragon Afterfire Is — and Isn’t
Dragon Afterfire is a stand-alone sound-and-flame calibration, quoted per vehicle. It does not change power, boost or fueling under load; it changes what the car does when you lift. The driver-selectable four-map switch (Normal / Burble / Bomb Burble / Afterfire) is an option on top of it, not part of it. The stock calibration is kept from every car, so it is fully reversible. The method stays in-house. Model details are on the Lamborghini Revuelto tuning page.
FAQ
Do I need an aftermarket exhaust to get flames like this?
No. The flame is produced by the calibration, not the exhaust — on the factory system it is still there. This car runs a jobdesign exhaust system, which is why the voice is louder and the flame reads bigger on video. Any free-flowing exhaust has a similar effect.
Does the Dragon Afterfire change power or torque?
No. It is a sound-and-flame calibration only. Power delivery, boost and fueling under load stay as the factory set them; the changes live in the overrun and the standing-rev behaviour.
Is the four-map switch included?
They are separate items. Dragon Afterfire is a stand-alone calibration, quoted per vehicle. The driver-selectable four-map switch (Normal / Burble / Bomb Burble / Afterfire) is an additional option on top of it.
Is it reversible?
Fully. We keep the stock calibration from every car and can return it to factory at any time.
Can this be done on my Revuelto outside Japan?
The Revuelto ECU is locked from the factory and the unlock is done in-house at mbFAST, so it is not a plug-in remote flash. Tell us where you are and we’ll give you the realistic route — through one of our partners, or as a direct project with us.
Is this street legal?
Regulations differ by country and region. Loud afterfire calibrations are intended for closed-course and off-street use — check your local rules.
For Revuelto Owners
If you want this on your car, the first question is where you are. In Japan we do it in-house in Tokyo or through our partner shops with the same data. Outside Japan, tell us your location and we’ll map out the realistic route. Japanese readers: the original write-up of this car is here.
For Tuning Shops and Partners
The Revuelto afterfire is development we have already done. If you have owners asking for it, you don’t need to start from zero — you need our data behind you. See how the partnership works: Become an mbFAST dealer.

Want this on your car?
Tell us your model, year and what you’re after — sound only, flames, or serious power. We tune in person across Japan and remotely worldwide, and usually reply within one business day. English is fine.
Tuning shops and distributors: we supply tested pops & bangs and afterfire calibration files B2B. Tell us which tool you run (AutoTuner, Kess3, FLEX, CMD) and we’ll take it from there.
