Nissan GT-R (R35) ECU Tuning + Dragon Afterfire & Burbling | Gunma Mobile Service | Up to 667HP

We recently traveled to Gunma Prefecture for a mobile installation service!

Our client is a repeat customer who previously brought in a Maserati and a Ferrari for ECU tuning. This time, they entrusted us with their beloved Nissan GT-R (R35).

Services performed:

  • ECU Tuning
  • Dragon Afterfire
  • Burbling (Pop & Bang)

This GT-R is a serious build — already equipped with a catalytic converter delete, full intake, exhaust, and cooling system upgrades. With ECU tuning applied to this configuration, it produces up to 667 horsepower!

Here is a breakdown of power output by configuration:

GT-R (R35) ECU Tuning — Power Output Reference

Nissan GT-R (R35) ECU tuning work in Gunma
  • Stock catalytic converter: approx. 580 HP
  • Catalytic converter delete: approx. 605 HP
  • Cat delete + intake upgrade + spark plugs + 4-inch exhaust + high-flow fuel pump: approx. 667 HP
  • Above + 1000cc injectors: approx. 710 HP

This vehicle features a full cat-delete, intake, exhaust, and cooling system — making it a true 667 HP tune.

What is Dragon Afterfire & Burbling?

“Dragon Afterfire” shoots flames from the exhaust on throttle-off or deceleration, while “Burbling” (Pop & Bang) produces an aggressive banging sound. Both are configured entirely through ECU tuning. Beyond the visual and auditory impact, these features dramatically increase the excitement of driving.

During this session, we also captured footage with a 360-degree camera — and the flame shots came out absolutely incredible! Be sure to check out the video below.

Map Switching Feature

This GT-R is also set up with a map-switching function using the cancel button on the steering wheel, allowing the driver to switch between four ECU maps on the fly. The ability to change modes with a single button press — without taking your hands off the wheel — is the biggest highlight of this feature.

  • Map 1 (Mild Burbling): Release the throttle with a slight amount of throttle remaining and a mild burbling sound activates. Subtle enough for everyday driving.
  • Map 2 (Heavy Burbling): Same throttle-off technique produces a louder, more aggressive popping sound. A satisfying exhaust note that turns heads.
  • Map 3 (Dragon Afterfire Mode): At around 5,000 RPM, press the cancel button while holding a small amount of throttle — flames shoot out of the exhaust! Overwhelmingly impressive in both sight and sound.
  • Map 4 (Launch Start Mode): A dedicated launch control map for explosive acceleration from a standstill.

Switch modes instantly with a single button press, without taking your hands off the steering wheel. Works seamlessly on both track and public road.
