The mbFAST difference: engineered to last

Anyone can make a car pop for a demo. The difference is what it costs the engine. Our calibrations are developed in-house in Tokyo and run daily on thousands of cars across Japan’s largest pops-and-bangs network — maximum theatre, with the engine and catalytic converters protected. It’s why franchise workshops across Japan — and now overseas — run our files instead of building their own.

Configuration Output
Stock catalytic converter approx. 580 HP
Cat delete approx. 605 HP
Cat delete + intake + plugs + 4-inch exhaust + fuel pump approx. 667 HP
Above + 1000cc injectors approx. 710 HP

Why tune your GT-R in Japan

The R35 was engineered here, raced here, and mythologized here. A calibration developed in the GT-R’s home market — on Japanese fuel, Japanese roads, and more R35s than any overseas shop will ever see — is part of the car’s story. Owners fly in for it. Workshops abroad license it.

FAQ

Is pops and bangs safe for the VR38DETT?

Yes. Every calibration is developed and validated in-house, and thousands of installations across our network run daily on it — maximum sound, with engineered margins that protect the engine and catalytic converters.

Can I turn it off?

Yes. That’s the point of the 4-map setup: switch maps from the steering wheel in seconds. Quiet for the neighborhood, fire for the weekend.

Do I need an aftermarket exhaust?

Pops and bangs work on many configurations, but character and volume depend on your exhaust setup. Catless or high-flow setups produce the most dramatic results — including Dragon Afterfire.

Is this legal?

Afterfire and aggressive pops-and-bangs configurations are intended for closed-course and off-road use. Emissions and noise regulations vary by country — check your local laws.

I run a workshop outside Japan. Can I offer this?

Yes — that’s exactly what our dealership program is for. We supply calibration files and support partner workshops worldwide.
