Lamborghini Huracan Pops & Bangs in Japan — Dual-ECU MED17.1.1 Calibration at Our Osaka Dealer

A silver Lamborghini Huracan came through our authorized dealer REBOOT TIPO in Osaka for a pops & bangs calibration — sound only, power left stock. Naturally aspirated V10, no turbos to mute the exhaust: this is the platform where an overrun calibration shines brightest.

Two ECUs, One Calibration

Reading the Huracan's dual Bosch MED17.1.1 ECUs over OBD with AutoTuner

The Huracan’s V10 runs two Bosch MED17.1.1 ECUs — a master and a slave, each controlling one bank of five cylinders. Both were detected and read over OBD in the car, no removal required, with the stock files archived before writing. The pops & bangs strategy has to be applied to both units in sync: overrun fuel cut-off and ignition timing reworked so that throttle lift and downshifts produce sharp, dry cracks instead of the factory’s polite burble.

Why NA V10s Respond So Well

With no turbochargers between the combustion chambers and the exhaust tips, the Huracan delivers the overrun sound completely unfiltered. It is one of the most rewarding platforms for this calibration — the V10 howl on the way up, and a crisp volley of cracks on the way back down. We tune the whole Lamborghini range for sound, from the Gallardo and Aventador to the Revuelto, where we recently developed the world’s first switchable sound maps.

Done Locally at Our Osaka Dealer

FAQ

Q. Does the Huracan need bench work?

No. Both MED17.1.1 ECUs are read and written over the OBD port, so the job is typically completed in a day.

Q. Can you do sound only, without touching power?

Yes — this car is exactly that. Boost is not a factor on the NA V10, and torque targets remain fully stock. A power stage can be added later at any time.

Q. Is it reversible?

Fully. The original files from both ECUs are saved before any work, and the car can be returned to stock at any time.

Q. I’m a tuning shop outside Japan — can I get Huracan files from you?

Yes. We supply tested pops & bangs calibrations for the Huracan’s dual MED17.1.1 setup, as well as the Gallardo, Aventador, and Revuelto platforms, to B2B partners. Contact us with the ECU reads and your requirements.
