OBD Installation

For vehicles that can be installed via OBD, the process is as simple as connecting a PC, the tool, and the OBD as shown here. Many major vehicles such as Mercedes, Audi, and VW use this method.

Vehicles that don’t support rewriting via OBD require accessing the ECU pins directly. All of these pin layouts are included in the software. This case requires an external power source, so a portable power station is recommended if you work outdoors. For example, Maserati, Abarth, BMW (G series and some F series), and some newer Mercedes models (53 AMG, 45S AMG, diesel) use this method.

What to Prepare Before a Job Request

• When a customer requests work, please ask for all of the following about the vehicle. (Attaching the vehicle registration is also fine.)
  • Vehicle model name and grade
  • Engine displacement
  • Model year
  • Model code (Especially important! In some cases, we may also need the engine model code.)
  • Whether they want ECU tuning, burble tuning, or both
• (For common cases) Please check the FAQ for the question. If there is no applicable answer, we will update it.
• Based on the vehicle data, please check the read/write method in the tool’s software. This also tells you in advance whether ECU removal is required for a given vehicle. If it’s too difficult, you may decline the job.
• Based on the vehicle data, please check our price list and determine the purchase price according to the work involved. If the vehicle isn’t on the price list, attach the vehicle data and contact us via LINE. We’ll update it and get back to you. Note that, anticipating cases where a job request comes after an update following the initial inquiry, we don’t quote prices over LINE—as a rule, we consistently ask you to check the price list.

When Submitting a Job Request

• Customer visit (data returned in about 1–3 hours)
  • Vehicles we are relatively familiar with
• Customer visit (data returned in about 3–6 hours) or a visit at our designated time (generally Mon–Fri after 5:00 PM)
  • Vehicles whose data is somewhat complex and require analysis time
• Keep the vehicle at your shop
  • When the customer’s schedule doesn’t allow either of the two visit options above.
  • When your shop has other work to do. (Please let us know your desired delivery deadline.)

• Regarding work bookings, there are the three patterns above depending on the vehicle.
• When booking, please attach the vehicle data and tell us your preferred date and time (the time is required). We’ll let you know which pattern applies. As a rule, please schedule bookings within one week.
• Since it takes time from when the vehicle arrives to when the data is sent, we’ll be on standby starting roughly one hour after the time you give us.
• If a walk-in booking comes up on the day, please consult us. We’ll accommodate it as much as possible.

On the Day of the Work

• Save the extracted data.
• Use the save name“Grade_CustomerName or Nickname”.
• Please send the saved data tosale@mbfasttuning.com.
• Once the rewritten data is complete, we’ll send it back as an attachment.
• Once you’ve finished the test drive, etc., please send the following photos/videos of the completed work to our personal LINE.
  • Photo of the car
  • Photo during the work
  • (For burble tuning) A video of the burble.

After the work

• (If you have Instagram) If you post it as a collaborator on Instagram, we’ll use that instead of posting it ourselves.
• We’ll feature it as a case study on our blog to help drive customers to your shop. We’ll apply any mosaic/blurring on our end, so you can send it as-is.
• We’ll send the invoice by email.
