2021 BMW F16 X6 M50i bubbling could be installed, DME unlocking required, very difficult,

Thank you for your help. We have received a request for bubbling installation on a BMW F16 X6 M50i!

The installation was done as a test, including whether DME unlocking is necessary due to the year 2021. (There is talk that BMWs manufactured from July 2020 onwards cannot be rewritten due to protection on the ECU.)

First, access the DME from OBD as usual. You will then see the red underbar in the photo (above).'This ECU has tuning protection, please access the ECU itself!'They were warned that!

So we decided to look into the ECU itself, and,

The ECUs are surrounded by a red frame, and as there are two of them on the troublesome unit, you can unlock them by removing the coupler from each one.

It is difficult because the outer frame cover is in the way and it is too narrow to insert the pin. In the case of this vehicle, the protection can be removed after backing up.

It took a little over two hours to create the bubbling data and start the test run. Test construction and go!
